Get Involved
The AMA Alliance has set three goals to be reached during the three-year duration of its Screen Out! campaign:
- Write 800 letters to the Motion Picture Association of America and other decision makers.
- Gather 750,000 parent petition signatures in support of the four solutions set forth by the Screen Out! campaign.
- Garner 1,500 Screen Out! endorsements from parent, political, health and school-based organizations.
To achieve these goals we have four main action strategies that our grassroots members can utilize:
- Gather Petition Signatures
- Write letters to the chiefs of movie studios, the MPAA and movie theater owners.
- Garner Organizational Endorsements
- Create Media Outreach
The success of this campaign relies on you getting involved in each of these action strategies. This section of the website will give you tools and resources to organize and create strategies around each of the four actions above.
Remember to get in touch with the AMA Alliance national office regarding your Screen Out! activities. In order to fully report the Alliance's successes around this campaign, the national office must be able to track all of the progress that is being made. It's time to Get Involved and show Hollywood that there is a strong adult voice focused on protecting our children from smoking imagery!
